Q: How long is the recovery after circumcision?
A: You can return to light work within 1–2 days. Please refrain from sexual activity for 3–4 weeks.
Q: How do I urinate after circumcision?
A: “For safe urination after circumcision, it is highly recommended to sit down. Sitting prevents urine from splashing back onto the surgical wound, which is more likely to happen when standing. Additionally, you should place a tissue under the tip before urinating. After finishing, gently shake to ensure no residual urine remains, then carefully pat the area dry with a clean tissue.
Q: Can I wear underwear after circumcision?
A: Standard underwear may be worn, but it is recommended to choose breathable materials and ensure the fit is not overly restrictive.
Q: How do I shower after circumcision?
A: “You can shower as usual, but it is important to keep the wound dry. You may cover the area with a plastic bag and seal it with waterproof tape while showering, or opt for a sponge bath instead during the first 3–5 days. Keeping the wound dry helps promote healing and reduces the risk of infection.”
